Tableware

work-shop

The way I look at it, every piece of tableware goes through a three-step transformation. The first, when it is molded from a ball of clay, forming a new shape and drying over time, till it has been bisqued. The second,  is when it gets glazed. The same piece takes on a new life, dictated by the glaze and the fire that matures it. The third, and most wondrous transformation, takes place after it has been used. When it is nurtured in the hands of the user, it is put to work to fulfill its fundamental existence. The same pot ages with time and changes its personality, imbibing some off its holder.
